M.B., Ch.M. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., England and France. Enlisting 6th September, 1916, and sailing 16th December, served with Training Battns. and Field Ambulance in England. Crossing to France, joined 11th A.F.Amb. 27th November, 1917, being R.M.O. 3rd Pioneers from 21st December to 7th January, 1918, and of 43rd Battn. from 22nd April, 1918, to 9th March, 1919, though wounded on the Somme 16th May, 1918, returning for demobilisation. Early education at St. Ignatius' College.
