B.E. : Lieutenant, 1st Field Coy., Engineers, A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting 8th March, 1915, and sailing with 6th Reinforcements 25th June, joined coy. 17th August and served at Anzac till the Evacuation and then in Flanders till death. Promoted secondlieutenant, 19th November, 1915; lieutenant, 20th February, 1916. Mentioned in Despatches. Killed in Action, Zillebeke, 13th September, 1916, and buried in Railway Dugouts Burial Ground, Zillebeke. Early education at Cooerwull Academy.
