M.B., Ch.M. : Private, A.A.S.C. (Mechanical Transport), A.I.F., France. Enlisting 15th March, 1918, and sailing 15th July with 5th Queensland Reinforcements, crossed to France with 15th Battn. reinforcements in January, 1919. Joining 4th Coy., served until September, being five months on Monumental detachment attached to Grave-digging unit until the completion of its work, and returned 14th January, 1920. Early education at Brisbane Grammar School.
