Book of Remembrance entry

M.B., Ch.M. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and Palestine. Enlisting in July, 1917, and sailing in November, served as Surgeon, Government Hospital, Suez, from December to March, 1918, and subsequently with 2nd A.L.H. Field Ambulance in operations in Jordan Valley, where sick in June, Es Salt and Amman till the Armistice. Then attended a post-graduate course at Kasr-el-Aini Hospital and Medical School, Cairo, returning as R.M.O. 1st Squadron A.F.C. on transport Port Sydney for demobilisation. Early education at Maitland and Sydney High Schools. Later one year in Arts.
