Book of Remembrance entry
Eng. I l l : Lieutenant, R.A.F., B.E.F., England. Enlisting in 1917 as R.F.C. cadet at Toronto, Canada, was commissioned 26th June, 1918, and attached on 10th August to Seaplane Division, Felixstowe, which worked in conjunction with Admiral Tyrwhitt's Light Cruiser Squadron in the North Sea, serving until demobilisation and returning to Australia privately. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later at St. Andrew's College.
