Book of Remembrance entry

Administrative Staff, Library : Lieutenant, 36th and 34th Battns., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 5th January, 1916, and sailing 13th May with 36th Battn., crossed to Armentieres sector in November, being promoted corporal, 1st February, 1917. Sent to Goth C Battn., Worcester College, Oxford, in April, whence commissioned 1st August and, returning to battn., fought till wounded at Passchendaele 12th October and evacuated to hospital. Transferring to 34th Battn. on disbanding of 36th, 30th April, 1918, was seconded to gth Australian Light Trench Mortar Battery, serving with it until demobilisation. Promoted lieutenant, 1st November, 1917.
