Book of Remembrance entry

Arts : Lieutenant, 105th Battery, R.F.A., B.E.F., France. Enlisting in London, was gazetted second-lieutenant, Special Reserve, 24th May, 1915, and, crossing to France in August, served till September, 1916, when severely wounded at Mametz Wood. Rejoining battery in February, 1917, remained with it until 3rd October when gassed and severely wounded at Passchendaele. Wounded a third time in November, 1918, and placed on retired list owing to illhealth caused by wounds, subsequently returning to Australia. Early education at Barker College. Later at St. Paul's.
