Book of Remembrance entry
B.V.Sc. : Private, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting 2nd July, 1915, and sailing 14th October, served at No. 1 Australian General Hospital, Cairo, from 17th November to 1st June, 1916. After three months in England and France joined 1st Australian Field Ambulance 19th September, being with it at the Somme, Flers, Bapaume, Bullecourt, Broodseinde Ridge and Passchendaele, where wounded 4th October, 1917. Rejoining regt. in December, served at Strazeele, Meteren, Hazebrouck, the Somme and till demobilisation.
