Book of Remembrance entry
M.B., Ch.M. : Driver, 10th Coy., 5th Australian Divisional Train, A.I.F., France. Enlisting 17th September, 1915, and sailing 18th November, arrived at Sailly in July, 1916, and served at the Somme, Bapaume and Ypres. Wounded at Chateau Wood 21st October, 1917, and evacuated to 3rd Southern General Hospital, Oxford, and three months later to Dartford, Weymouth and Australia, arriving 1st June, 1918, and spending five months at Randwick Hospital prior to discharge.
