Eng. IV : Lieutenant, 58th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 14th April, 1915, was commissioned 16th July and sailing with 13th Reinforcements 7th Battn. 29th December, transferred to 58th as lieutenant 25th March, 1916. Crossing to France in June, was mortally wounded in Battle of Fromelles, 19th July. Died of Wounds, No. 30 General Hospital, Calais, 23rd July, 1916, and was buried in Calais Southern Cemetery.
