M.B., Ch.M. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt, France and England. Enlisting and sailing in December, 1915, joined 15th Australian Field Ambulance, being R.M.O. 30th Battn. and later of 5th Divisional Engineers. Transferring to 14th Field Amb., 7th May, 1917, became relieving R.M.O. 59th Battn. on 10th and R.M.O. 5th Divisional Train 10th June, remaining with it until about the middle of 1918, when sent to 2nd Training Battn. in England, serving until demobilisation. Promoted major, 11th November, 1918. A.M.F. : R.M.O. 51st (N.Q.) Battn. Early education at Fort St. High School.
