Book of Remembrance entry
B.E. : Air Mechanic II, 1st Squadron, A.F.C., A.I.F., Palestine. Enlisting 25th January, 1917, and sailing 4th August via Panama and Glasgow, was at Corps Depot, Wendover, England, for three months. Thence proceeding via France and Italy to Alexandria, joined squadron at El Mejdel as despatch rider and served until 'demobilisation, though sick in Palestine for three and a half months. Early education at Sydney Church of England Grammar and The King's Schools.
