Med. : Lance-Corporal, 12th A.L.H. Regt., A.I.F., Egypt and Palestine. Enlisting 12th December, 1916, and sailing 17th February, 1917, served in campaign leading to the capture of Jerusalem, in Jordan Valley, across the Plain of Esdraslon to Damascus; in Nile Punitive Expedition after the Egyptian uprising in 1919, and until demobilisation. Early education at Sydney Church of England Grammar School.
