Book of Remembrance entry
Arts : Lieutenant, 1st Machine Gun and 2nd Battns., A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting 6th June, 1915, and sailing 6th August with 8th Reinforcements 2nd Battn., fought with battn. at Gallipoli from 1st November till the Evacuation. Transferring to 1st M.G. Coy. in Egypt and crossing to France in March, was N.C.O. till sent to England to M.G. Cadet School about July, 1917. Rejoining unit as lieutenant 25th December, served until demobilisation. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
