Book of Remembrance entry
M.B., Ch.M. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting and sailing 26th March, 1915, served as R.M.O. 28th Battn. at Gallipoli from September till 15th December, when wounded and evacuated to hospital. Crossing to France, joined 7th Australian Field Ambulance 15th August, 1916, and was R.M.O. 25th Battn. from 5th December to 23rd January, 1917, returning to Australia in March, 1918. Promoted major, 27th April, 1917. Early education at Christian Brothers' College, Perth, W.A. Later at St. John's.
