Book of Remembrance entry
B.A. : Trooper, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and Palestine. Enlisting 29th September, 1915, and sailing 29th March, 1916, served with 2nd A.L.H. Field Ambulance from Romani to Gaza and Jerusalem, being attached at times to 5th and 12th A.L.H. Regts., although sick in hospital from 7th August to 20th October, 1917, then rejoining ambulance. In 1918 was attached to H.Q. Desert Mounted Column till 7th November, except when in hospital from 3rd February to 3rd May, rejoining ambulance in November and serving until demobilisation.
