Enlisting 4th May, 1915, and sailing 26th June, served with 20th Battn. till May, 1916, and then till demobilisation with 2nd Australian Division Signal Coy., although nominally transferred to 2nd Mechanical Transport Coy. Mentioned in Despatches. Early education at Fort St. High School.
