Book of Remembrance entry
M.C., M.B. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting and sailing in November, 1915, served as R.M.O. 47th Battn. from 10th March, 1916, to 1st November, 1917, at Pozieres, where wounded 12th August, 1916, and then at Somme, Bullecourt, Messines and Ypres. There joined 12th Australian Field Ambulance and remained with it till 27th October, 1918, when transferred to 2nd, serving until demobilisation. Awarded M.C. 1st January, 1917, and Mentioned in Despatches. Early education at Albury Grammar School.
