Book of Remembrance entry
B.A. : Private, 1st Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 4th April, 1916, and sailing 22nd August, served with battn. on the Somme from November till March, 1917, when invalided to hospital. Rejoining battn. in October, was gassed at Rosieres 13th August, 1918, and evacuated to hospitals in France and England and thence to Australia, arriving 31st December. Early education at Fort St. High School.
