Book of Remembrance entry
B.A.; M.B. (Edin.), Lecturer and Examiner in Medicine : Lieutenant-Colonel, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and Gallipoli. Enlisting and sailing 1st May, 1915, as lieutenant-colonel, served with No. 3 Australian General Hospital at Lemnos after a short stay in Egypt. Later was invalided to England and returned to Australia in May, 1916, as M.O. of a transport carrying wounded. Attached to Randwick Military Hospital in an honorary capacity until some years after the War. Early education at Horton College, Tasmania.
