M.B., Ch.M. : Captain, R.A.M.C., B.E.F., France. Enlisting in England 9th March, 1915, was posted to R.A.M.C. as lieutenant and served in France till the Armistice, later returning to Australia. Promoted captain, 8th March, 1916. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
