B.Ec. : Private, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli, Egypt and France. Enlisting 8th May, 1915, and sailing 4th October, served with 2nd A.L.H. Field Ambulance at Gallipoli from 7th to 18th December. Joining 1st A.F.Amb. in January, 1916, and crossing to France in March, served at Pozieres, Somme, Hindenburg Line, Bullecourt, Ypres, Dernancourt, Hazebrouck and elsewhere until demobilisation, being on non-military employment at Leeds University from April to September, 1919. Member of Teachers' and Hawkesbury Agricultural Colleges (Diploma, 1912).
