Book of Remembrance entry
B.A. : Sergeant, 18th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 30th October, 1916, and sailing in November with 18th Reinforcements, was sick in hospitals in England from 12th February to 13th May, 1917. Joining battn. in Ypres sector, 17th October, served till the Armistice and was then on teaching staff Australian Corps Central School, Rue, as extra regimental sergeant, returning for demobilisation. Early education at St. Patrick's College (Goulburn) and St. Ignatius' .
