Book of Remembrance entry
Pharmacy : Private, 56th Battn., A.I.F., France and England. Enlisting 2nd August, 1916, and sailing n th November, qualified as signaller (A Class) at Hurdcott and joined battn. near Ypres in September, 1917, serving till wounded near Kemmel in May, 1918, and evacuated to 4th London General Hospital and later to Weymouth. On recovery, was several months at Monte Video Camp on electrical massage, returning in November, 1918, as masseur on transport Runic. Early education at Tamworth College and High School.
