Book of Remembrance entry
Arts : Sergeant, 17th Battn., and 1st Divisional Train A.A.S.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 6th September, 1915, and sailing in December, served with battn. until wounded and gassed at Pozieres in August, 1916, and then, unfit for Infantry, was transferred to A.A.S.C. as clerk and returned in July, 1920. Member of Teachers' College.
