Book of Remembrance entry
B.A. : Captain, R.F.A., B.E.F., Gallipoli, Egypt and France. Sailing privately in March, 1915, and enlisting in London 5th June as second-lieutenant on probation, went with Artillery to Gallipoli, where wounded in December. Rejoining unit in Egypt, served in Sinai and in France until demobilisation. Promoted lieutenant 1st July, 1917, and later captain. Early education at Charterhouse and Barker College.
