Book of Remembrance entry
Econ. : Private, 55th Battn., A.I.F., France; also Russian Relief Force. Enlisting 3rd February, 1918, and sailing 30th June, joined battn. 31st January, 1919, and was discharged in United Kingdom in May. Joining Australian Detachment, served with 45th Royal Fusiliers till severely wounded in North Russia, 28th August, 1919. Returned to Australia in November, 1920. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
