Enlisting 23rd February, 1916, when 18, passed for signaller (1st class) at Kiama School and, sailing 23rd August, joined battn. on the Somme, serving till death. Killed in Action, Bapaume, 22nd February, 1917. Commemorated in Villers-Bretonneux Memorial. Early education at Christian Brothers'' College, Waverley (Captain).
