B.A. : Captain, 26th Battn., A.I.F., Gallipoli, Egypt and France. Joining battn. as lieutenant 23rd April, 1915, was promoted captain 16th May and proceeded to Egypt and Gallipoli, serving from September till the Evacuation. Crossing to France in March, 1916, fought at Fleurbaix and Pozieres till death. Killed in Action, Pozieres, 28th July, 1916. Commemorated in Villers-Bretonneux Memorial. Early education at The King''s School. ". . .He acted very gallantly and decisively in rallying his men."
