Enlisting 10th June, 1916, and sailing with 8th Reinforcements 4th Divisional Ammunition Column, joined brigade in France 3rd August, 1917, and served until demobilisation, although wounded in Ypres sector 26th October, 1917, and on the Somme 9th August, 1918. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later at St. Andrew''s College.
