Book of Remembrance entry
LL.B. : Sergeant, 4th Battn., A.I.F., Gallipoli. Enlisting 25th August, 1914, and sailing 18th October served until wounded at Lone Pine, 6th August, 1915, and evacuated to Mudros and England. Attached to Australian H.Q. 23rd May, 1916, returning to Australia in February, 1917, and was discharged 4th June. Promoted temporary corporal, 13th September, 1916, and corporal (lance-sergeant), 25th November.
