M.B., Ch.M. : Lieutenant, R.F.A., B.E.F., France. Sailing privately 4th September, 1915, and Enlisting in London 27th October, served at Loos, Vermelles, Somme, Messines and Wyschaete. Wounded at Ypres 6th July, 1917, and evacuated to Holmwood and later to Aldershot and Roehampton Hospitals, returning to Australia 2nd August, 1918. Early education at Craigend School. Later at St. Paul's College.
