M.M., Diploma in Economics and Commerce: Sergeant, 10th Coy., A.A.S.C., A.I.E., Egypt, France and England. Enlisting 31st August, 1915, and sailing 18th November, joined coy. in Egypt and, crossing to France in June, served with unit until 3rd October, 1918, when transferred to A.A.S.C. Training Depot, England, remaining there until demobilisation. Promoted corporal, 16th October, 1915; sergeant, 21st November, 1916. Early education at Bathurst District School.
