M.B., Ch.M. : Lance-Corporal, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., England. Enlisting 24th June, 1915, and sailing 18th December, served at No. 1 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Harefield, for 12 months. Transferring to hospital ship "Karoola ", applied for field unit early in 1918 but was discharged physically unfit on 3rd August. Early education at Wesley College, Melbourne.
