Econ. : Temporary Sergeant, 3rd Machine Gun Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 10th October, 1916, and sailing 9th November, served continuously from arrival in August, 1917, at Messines, Ypres and Somme until demobilisation. Early education at State School. Later at Teachers'' College.
