Book of Remembrance entry
B.A. : Chaplain (Class 3), A.I.F., France. Enlisting in September, 1917, and sailing 19th December via Egypt, Italy and England, served in France from May, 1918, but was invalided to England. On recovery was stationed with 3rd Australian Tunnelling Coy. at Noeux-les-Mines near Loos and after the Armistice attached to First Army, B.E.F., until demobilisation. Early education at Chatswood Intermediate High School and Cooerwull Academy.
