Eng. : Sapper, 6th Australian Broad Gauge Railway Operating Coy., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 22nd December, 1916, and sailing 7th February, 1917, crossed to France 15th May, served in Flanders till after the Armistice, and then sat for Matriculation Examination at Corps Education School, Rue, while awaiting demobilisation. Early education at Burwood Public School. Later at Sydney Technical College.
