Matriculant: Lieutenant, 2nd Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 28th August, 1916, and sailing with 2nd Battn. reinforcements, joined battn. in France 24th March, 1917, and transferred to 6th Battn. 2nd April. Sent to Officers Training School, Wadham College, Oxford, commissioned 29th November and, rejoining battn. 21st December, served at Messines and Hazebrouck till death. Promoted lieutenant,- 11th April, 1918. Killed in Action, Hazebrouck, 24th May, 1918. Early education at Brisbane and Sydney Church of England Grammar Schools.
