Book of Remembrance entry

M.B., Ch.M. : Lieutenant, 9th Battn., and A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting 2nd February, 1915, and sailing 8th April with 3rd Australian Field Ambulance, was at Gallipoli until the Evacuation. Crossing with it to France, served at Pozieres and elsewhere till transferred to 9th Battn. as second-lieutenant, 3rd August, 1917. Then fought at Flers, Bullecourt and Ypres, where wounded at Anzac Ridge 1st October, returning to Australia in March, 1918. Early education at Ipswich Grammar School. Later at Queensland University and Wesley College.
