Arts : Sergeant, 22nd Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 10th January, 1916, after being rejected four times, and sailing 7th March, joined battn. at Armentieres and served till demobilisation, at Pozieres, Zonnebeke Ridge, Mouquet Farm and Villers-Bretonneux to Beaurevoir, although wounded at Pozieres, Warneton and Beaurevoir. Early education at a Public School. Later at Teachers' College.
