Fetherston, Richard Arthur

Book of Remembrance entry

Diploma in Economics and Commerce : Captain, Army Pay- Corps, A.I.F., Egypt and England. Enlisting 19th February, 1915, and sailing on 25th, served as staff sergeant on the voyage and in Egypt, being gazetted second-lieutenant and Field Cashier, Anzac Mounted Division and Canal Zone, 6th May, 1916. On 4th January, 1917, transferred to Finance Section A.I.F. H.Q., London, and was later Paymaster, Weymouth, until demobilisation. Promoted lieutenant, 8th September, 1916; captain, 11th November, 1918.
