Book of Remembrance entry
B.E., A.M.I.E.Aust. : Trooper, 1st Machine Gun Squadron, A.L.H., A.I.F., Palestine and Egypt. Enlisting 28th January, 1918, and sailing 10th June, joined unit at Amman, 26th October, was at Richon at the Armistice and went to Rafa with Anzac Mounted Division. During Egyptian disturbances in April and May, 1919, was with Nile Delta Squadron and then on leave to England, returning via Cape, 26th January, 1920. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
