Book of Remembrance entry
Lanternist-Librarian, Architecture : Sergeant, 2nd Battn., London Irish Rifles and 1st Battn., Royal Ulsters, B.E.F., France. Enlisting at Chelsea in May, 1916, crossed to France in August and served with 2nd Battn. at Arras, Bethune, St. Quentin, Somme, Amiens and Cambrai, where gassed in November 1917. On recovery transferred to 1st Battn., Royal Irish Rifles (Royal Ulsters), and served till demobilisation. Education at Merton Court School, Sidcup, and Sidcup Hall College.
