Book of Remembrance entry
Arts I : Private, 59th Battn. A.I.F., France. Enlisting 2nd October, 1915, and sailing with 15th Reinforcements 3rd Battn., joined 55th in Egypt 20th April, 1916, and 59th on 18th May. Crossing to France in June, served at Fromelles till death. Killed in Action, Fleurbaix, 19th July, 1916. Commemorated in Fromelles Memorial. Early education at Sydney High School.
