Enlisting 20th July, 1916, and sailing 7th February, 1917, transferred to M.G. Corps in England 20th July and joined 21st Coy. at Ypres in October, remaining with it until December, 1918. In February, 1919, commenced course at University College, London, prior to demobilisation. Med: Lance-Corporal, 1st Machine Gun Battn., A.I.F., France. Early education at Marist Bros.' High School, Darlinghurst and St. Joseph's College. Later at St. John's.
