B.Arch. : Lieutenant, R.F.C. and R.A.F., B.E.F., France. Enlisting in London in September, 1916, joined Officers Cadet Battn. at Denham 8th October and was commissioned 17th March, 1917. Then served with several reserve squadrons, crossing to No. 2 Aircraft Supply Depot, France, 27th February, 1918, and to No. 1 A.S. Depot 12th March, returning to England 14th January, 1919, and Australia 10th August. Promoted flying officer, 31st August, 1917; lieutenant, 1st April, 1918.
