Book of Remembrance entry
B.Sc. : Private, A.A.M.C. and 5th JMachine Gun Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in November, 1915, and sailing n th May, 1916, with 9th Australian Field Ambulance, crossed to France in November and served until gassed at Ypres in 1917. After leaving hospital in 1918, was transferred to Machine Gun Battn., remaining with it until demobilisation. Early education at Newcastle High School.
