M.B., Ch.M., M.B. (Q.) : Lieutenant, 26th Battn. A.I.F., France. Enlisting 13th May, 1915, and sailing 31st January, 1916, crossed to France and served at Armentieres, Messines, Neuve Eglise, Somme and in Ypres sector till wounded at Battle of Menin Road 20th September, 1917, and in consequence invalided to Australia, arriving 16th March, 1918. Early education at Brisbane Grammar School. Later at University of Queensland.
