Book of Remembrance entry

M.B. : Captain, 19th Battn. A.I.F., Gallipoli and France, also A.A.M.C., A.N. and M.E.F. New Guinea. Enlisting and sailing 18th August, 1914, served in New Guinea, returning in February, 1915. Enlisting as a combatant with 19th Battn., was appointed lieutenant, 8th June, and sailing on 25th, arrived at Anzac in August, serving there until the Evacuation. Crossing to France in March, 1916, fought at Fleurbaix and Pozieres, where severely wounded 26th July. Promoted captain, 11th May, 1916. Died of Wounds, Pozieres, n th August, 1916, and was buried in Etaples Military Cemetery. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
