Arts I : Lieutenant, 54th and 56th Battns. A.I.F., France and England. Enlisting 1st February, 1916, and sailing 14th April as secondlieutenant with 2nd Reinforcements, joined 54th Battn. 1st August as lieutenant. Transferred n th October, 1918, to 56th Battn., serving until July, 1920, the last three months being at H.O. A.I.F. Early education at Sydney Church of England Grammar School.
